I’ve just discovered a retailer selling the Garmin Edge 1000 for about 10% less than all the other online retailers.
Update (Jan 2015):
I’m really pleased to now offer Live Garmin Edge price comparisons right here on the site.
I know many readers here might be looking to upgrade from an older Edge unit like the 500 or the classic 800 (still the best all rounder, in my opinion).
Some of you might be thinking of getting a Garmin for the first time, so you don’t have to rely on your smartphone, because as we all know, there’s so many reasons to ditch the smartphone and get a proper bike GPS unit.
I keep a close eye on prices, because people are always asking me for advice. So I monitor the prices at all the main online bike retailers and list when amazing deals come out.
So, where is the best price on a Garmin Edge 1000 at the moment?
I must admit I had not heard of these guys before. Westbrook Cycles is situated in Stokesley North Yorkshire, and they’ve obviously invested a lot into their website, because it looks really nice.
Quickly scanning through the site, I notice they are extremely competitive on price too, with some fantastic deals on specific items to undercut the main competition.
… which brings us to the cheap Edge 1000 pricing.
Pretty much everywhere else you look, the Edge 1000 is £395 for the head unit only, and £449 for the performance bundle.
Sometimes you might find independent sellers via the Amazon marketplace offering cheap deals, and usually shipping from mainland Europe.
