Stravup is a mac only app that speeds up the process of uploading your rides or runs to Strava.
I don’t use a mac so I can’t comment on this app from any personal experience, but I thought I’d spread the word to ScarletFire readers, in case anyone out there finds it useful.
Visit www.stravup.com for more info.
It seems to work a bit like a handy little free bit of software I use on my Windows PC for backing up certain files and folders, called SyncToy. You define a relationship between two folders, and when you run it, the program copies everything from folder A to folder B. E.g. You could specify that everything in your “My Documents” folder should be copied to a “backups” folder on your external hard drive.
Stravup seems to work in a similar way, in that you define “folder A” as the location of your ride data files, and “folder B” is basically your Strava account.
The beauty of it is that it will work in the background for you (auto starts when you log in), and you can also edit the names of the rides/runs too.
For Mac users, I’m guessing this would be useful for people who don’t want to use Garmin Express/Connect as an intermediary, and save some time by uploading rides to Strava as fast as possible. It would also be useful for people who record their activities with devices other than a Garmin. (Need help deciding which Garmin would suit you best? Try my interactive tool)
