I’ve got a soft spot for gadgets. Rather than pretend that they fulfil some purely utilitarian purpose, thus making daily life more manageable, more productive, less hassle, or whatever, I’m going to settle for the pure hedonistic joy of inquisitiveness, and marvelling at the outcome. We are an astounding species, and gadget technology constantly reminds me of this wonderful fact.
So, why the interest in the GoPro camera?
It’s a small, high definition video camera that you mount to your helmet – what’s not to like about that idea?
How would I use it? Several ideas come to mind:
To record favourite scenic routes, for later blog posts, creating some guide routes for visitors to the area.
To promote riding with your local cycling club.
To promote local facilities, such as the fab Marsh Tracks
For non cycling family activity stuff, like sledging, or bungee jumping with grandma – that kinda stuff.
