Now, I love digital mapping, but there’s something irreplaceable about a good old fashioned map that unfolds into a massive sheet of printed paper. The detail, the scale, the touch, the feel, the smell. Ok, stop there. Ordnance Survey have got a sale on OS Explorer and Landranger UK Maps, before they put prices up in July.
You never know when technology is going to let you down. That Garmin or smartphone might look all shiny bling-y but it’s going to be pretty useless if the battery runs down or if it gets dropped in a river or run over by a tractor. In times like those, you’ll be glad you had a good old fashioned paper map as a backup. So, what better than the classic Ordnance Survey, OS Explorer and Landranger UK maps?

What’s the difference between Landranger and Explorer UK maps?
