If we're going to haggle over the appropriateness of using drug metaphors, I'd have to suggest that psychedelics may provide a more meaningful analogy. Not only because of the eyeball melting qualities of some of the visualisations, but also for the way in which the sheer number of infinite possibilities will indeed open your doors of perception.

The Greatest Add-on for Strava…waste more time than Pokemon Go!
I've been using Veloviewer for a few years now and find it a very good tool to review and compare your data from year to year, ride to ride. Useful data visualization tools abound. My favorites are the yearly stats chart to compare different stats year to year and the Wheel which plots mileage and elevation profiles around a central map of rides within the time period selected. The 3D mapping profiles are also very good.
There is also the veloviewer score which is a relative rating against others based on the segment placings you have. Rivals list riders that place +/-2 on the same segments as your placing so you can see your closest peers. I spend more time than I should digging through all the data. Definitely recommend, there is a low yearly fee, but well worth it.
