I’ve been meaning to do it for ages, but I finally went ahead and revamped the site.
Having started to research the best premium WordPress themes, I kept hearing great things about Genesis Themes. I was asked to create a site for my Dad’s choir, and so took the opportunity to try Genesis out for the first time. I guessed it would be a simpler process to create a new site from scratch, and I couldn’t have been more correct. Genesis is just a total joy to use.
My Dad’s site, by the way, can be found at www.denbighchoir.com. It’s been live exactly a week and they’ve had phenomenal feedback from their followers.
Having built this site on Genesis, I loved every minute of it.
It now seems like a no-brainer to use Genesis themes for any sites I’m going to be involved with in future, and where better to roll out a long overdue upgrade, than right here on ScarletFire?
The theme I’ve used is called Magazine Pro, and I’ve basically only set it up with the default options, so it’s “straight out of the box”. There is loads of potential for customising it, but to be honest, I’d rather spend my time trying to create useful content for people than just tweaking things so that they look nicer. But I do particularly like the responsive nature of this theme. It looks great on a tablet or a smartphone.
Is it an improvement on the old site? I’d love to hear what you think, so please leave a comment.
