Give your Strava photos the artistic look with Prisma

Last Modified: April 8, 2017

Give your Strava photos (via instagram) a great look with this new app.

I always like discovering cool new apps. I guess I’m easily distracted. Squirrel!

Hopefully you’re already familiar with how to sync your instagram photos with Strava. I posted about it here.

How to make your Strava instagram photos stand out and get noticed

Prisma is a new app that creates quite amazing artistic transformations of your photos, then sends them to Instagram, so they’ll still show up in Strava.

Here’s a few examples of some of my Prisma-processed images. There are lots of effects to choose from and it’s always a bit random trying to choose the best one. You just have to randomly apply all the filters and sooner or later one will stand out to you. After a while, you get a sense of what is more likely to work well with certain images.

Here’s an original selfie image I posted on #cycletoworkday, just posted via instagram. After that, you can see what Prisma did to it!

Be warned that occasionally, the app can be quite slow generating the images, depending on how many people are trying to use the service at the same time.

There are loads of fantastic filters to choose from, and they’re regularly adding new ones too.
